Amoxicillin Oral suspension is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including:

• Ear, nose, and throat infections (e.g., otitis media, tonsillitis, pharyngitis)
  

• Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Helicobacter pylori infections (as part of combination therapy)

It works by stopping the growth of bacteria and is effective only against bacterial infections, not viral illnesses like the common cold or flu.

Dosage and Administration:

• Shake well before use.

• Dosage is based on the patient's weight and severity of infection.

• Children (under 40 kg): Typically 20-90 mg/kg/day, divided into 2-3 doses every 8-12 hours.

• Adults and children (≥40 kg): 250-500 mg every 8 hours or 500-875 mg every 12 hours, depending on infection severity.

• Duration of treatment: Usually 5-10 days, or as prescribed by a doctor.

Note:

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

• May be taken with or without food (if stomach upset occurs, take with food).

• Consult a doctor for proper dosing in renal impairment.

Dosage: 20-40mg/kg/day, divided every 8-12 hours

• Shake bottle for 10 seconds before each use

• Use provided 5mL dosing syringe (fill to marked line)

• Store at room temperature, discard after 14 days
